History
Galfer Brakes was founded by Maffio Milesi in Barcelona, Spain, in 1952 as a brake pad supplier for major European motorcycle and auto makers. For the most part, Galfer was unknown in the United States until 1992 when Giorgio Milesi – one of Maffio Milesi’s three sons – and his wife Carmen Farreras decided to move to Santa Barbara, California with their children, Monica, Sandro, and David to open Giocar America Inc, the exclusive distributor for Galfer products in the USA. Galfer USA’s distribution began in a small garage in Santa Barbara, eventually we moved to a larger facility in Ventura California, and in early 2000’s to a larger location, 12,000 square-foot warehouse in Oxnard, California — until 2018, when Giocar America Inc relocated its distribution of Galfer and Gbrakes to Carson City Nevada, where we now have 2 locations one for Gbrakes brake line production and the other location that is our warehouse and corporate offices.
Giocar America, services North and South America, Australia and the Far East. The Company
The Giocar America team, DBA, Galfer USA and Gbrakes USA includes some serious riders and racers, ranging from local MX and desert experts, track day and canyon riders, family trail riders and even a couple of big V-twin enthusiasts. It all starts from the top with Mr. Giorgio Milesi, our founder, a former Moto Guzzi racer who currently rides a Suzuki DL1000 and still leaves most of us eating his dust…
